Gobi Biryani



To Make Rice

Basmati Rice – 1 ½ cup
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Garam Masala – ¼ tsp
Biryani Masala – ½ tsp
Water – 3 cup
Salt – to taste

For Frying

Cauliflower – 2 cups, sliced
Red Chili Powder – 1 ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – for frying

To Make Masala

Onion -2, sliced
Ginger – 1 tsp, crushed
Garlic – 1 tsp, crushed
Green Chilly – 2, crushed
Tomato – 2, sliced
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – ½ tsp
Biryani Masala – ½ tsp
Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
Cilantro – handful, chopped
Mint Leaves – 2 tbsp, chopped

Preparation

Cook rice and keep it aside.

Marinate cauliflower with turmeric, red chili powder and salt. Fry until golden brown.

Pour oil in heated skillet. Sauté onion till it turns golden brown. Add crushed ginger, garlic and green chilly. Fry for a minute. Add sliced tomatoes. Sauté till soft. Add coriander powder, cumin powder and biryani masala. Fry for a minute. Add fried cauliflower and mix well. Add cilantro and mint. Place rice on top. Cover and cook in low flame for 5-10 minutes.
