Baked Donuts


Ingredients

All-purpose flour - 1 cup
Granulated Sugar - ½ cup
Baking powder -1 tsp
Nutmeg - ¼ tsp, ground
Salt  - ½ tsp
Milk - ½ cup
Egg - 1, beaten
Butter - 1 tbsp, melted

Preparation
Preheat oven to 425 F.  Grease pan with butter or cooking spray.

In large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add milk, eggs and butter. Beat till just combined. Fill each cup approximately 2/3 full.
Bake 15 minutes or until the skewer comes out clean. Finish donuts with chocolate glaze.

Makes 6 donuts

Chocolate Glaze

Semisweet Chocolate Chips – ¼ cup
Butter - 1 tbsp
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Heavy cream/ Hot Water – 2 tbsp

In a sauce pan, melt chocolate chips, butter and sugar. Stir frequently until fully melted. Add heavy cream/hot water and stir until sauce is thick and smooth. Use immediately to glaze donuts.
