Ingredients
Green Apple-2 cups,chopped
Red chilli Powder-2tbsp
Turmeric Powder-1/4tsp
Mustard Seeds-1/2tsp
Asafoetida or Hing-1/2tsp
Curry leaves
Vinegar-1tbsp
Salt-11/2tbsp
Oil-1/2tsp
Preparation
Heat oil in a skillet and add mustard seeds. When it crackles add curry leaves and hing.Add chilli powder, turmeric and salt. Fry the masala till oil starts appearing. Add apples to spice mix and add 2tbsp of water. Cook in a low heat till apples become tender.When it cools down,add vinegar and put it in a tightly covered jar.
Note
Green apples are preferred. This pickle tastes like mango pickle.Eat with Rice or Roti.
