Ingredients
Shrimp – 1 cup, cooked
Onion – ¼ cup, chopped
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Tamarind Juice – 2 tbsp
Curry Leaves - few
Salt – to taste
Oil- 2 tbsp
For Roasting
Coconut – 1 cup, grated
Shallots – 1 tbsp, chopped
Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
Red Chilly – 2-3
Curry Leaves – few
Oil – 1 tsp
Preparation
Pour oil in a heated pan. Add coconut, shallots, curry leaves and fry in a medium heat till coconut turns dark brown color. Add coriander seeds, red chilly and fry for another 2 minutes. Allow it to cool and grind them into a fine paste with enough water.
Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and sauté till soft. Add grinded coconut, tamarind juice and salt. Mix well. Add water to get enough gravy. When gravy boils, add cooked shrimp. Cook in a medium flame for 10 -15 minutes. Garnish with curry leaves.
